Learn About HP Printer Ink Before
You Buy Your Printer
HP makes some
of the most affordable inkjet printers. As of this writing, you can
get an entry level inkjet printer for under $50.00. Great to be able
to buy a brand-new printer so cheap, but what about the HP ink cartridge.
Knowing a little about HP printer ink cartridges will help you make
a decision on which model to buy. You see, the current under $50.00
model uses a single HP ink cartridge, which has yellow, blue, and
red HP printer ink inside.
If you print something
with this printer that needs black, it mixes all three HP printer
ink colors together to make the black. It looks OK, but more importantly,
it uses up the colors in the HP ink cartridge. Soon your inkjet cartridge
runs out.
Now I don't know
about you, but most of the stuff that I print is black text. I really
don't want to use up all of my colored HP ink printing black text.
Most printers these days do have a separate black printer cartridge,
which is included when you buy the printer. That way you conserve
your color HP ink cartridge while printing black text. And with the
price of printer ink, that little bit of money you saved to buy the
cheaper single-cartridge printer more than gets made up for buying
lots of expensive printer cartridges!
